As part of the Green Social Prescribing Programme to Tackle and Prevent Mental Ill-health, this advocacy pack is designed to help individuals in a position of influence to help others understand the value Green Social Prescribing. 

Not every audience will want or need to hear the same arguments for GSP. Audiences you could be talking to might include:

  • Healthcare professionals – including GPs, clinicians, mental health practitioners
  • Health and social care commissioners / Mental health commissioners
  • Integrated care boards and Integrated Care Partnerships
  • Nature-based activity providers and other VCSEs
  • Link workers and other community connectors
  • Local government

The advocacy pack covers topics including:

  • Benefits for patients
  • Benefits for healthcare systems
  • Evidence GSP works
  • Cost effectiveness
  • How to make GSP work in practice
  • Help with funding
  • Help with capacity building

All within a framework of language and links to a robust evidence base.
